Have your film open with The Ink Spots. That's how you make true cinema.
Suffers from a lot of pacing issues, but serves as a great tribute to the original Disney Parks attraction and is generally just a fun watch for fans of the ride.
Also the casting of Jared Leto was pretty pointless, and I would have preferred they got an actual voice actor for his role instead of having the heavily modulated and edited voice of his that we got.
It's an alright adventure movie, but it's noticeably lacking the whimsy and creativity that Spielberg and Lucas brought to the previous entries in the franchise. Indiana Jones himself kind of just feels like he's "there" for most of the movie, following along the plot wherever it wants to take him. It feels like a missed opportunity to more deeply examine the character. Despite that, the beginning and ending comprised of some fun sequences, but otherwise it wasn't very exciting. This is by no means a bad movie, but certainly a bland entry to this franchise, and a disappointing conclusion.
