Oh how I wish to be a kid again…

This movie brings back a wave of nostalgia, it brought back faint memories of when i used to watch it as a kid. It’s a movie that just makes you feel so happy and it really does feel like you’re watching a book come to life, the storytelling is perfect. Genuinely one of my favorite movies of all time not just from my childhood, but also in adulthood.

    Also the Sherman…

My god she must have some thick rose colored glasses to be ignoring all those red flags. Not one of my favorite Hitchcock films but absolutely nails the suspense per usual.

I did read other reviews mentioning the ending was changed to keep cary grants “good guy” image intact making the ending (while still good) a bit lackluster after all the build up to the final scene. Overall good movie, good acting, great cinematography, but compared to Hitchcocks later films, it just doesn't hit the mark imo.

Also, they just had to kill Dr. Watson.. 😔

SO. MANY. WORDS. My god this movies dialogue is pure SPEED.

Amazingly done and while it wasn’t my favorite plot wise (granted still very fun and interesting), i will give SO much credit to the writers and actors for the seemingly flawless overlapping screaming matches of dialogue. Also, Rosalind Russell killed this role she made every scene and line seem effortless and natural. Cary grant did what cary grant does, no explanation needed. Very good movie imo and highly recommend

One of, if not the best monster film from the 50’s era. The underwater cinematography is done incredibly well and is very eery looking in B&W.
Is it cheesy? Yes, but who cares it’s entertaining!

And gill man’s gotta relax with his crush like calm down
