SO visually and audibly pleasing. The sets, costumes, CGI, and music were amazing. As a former Wicked musical watcher, this movie lacked nothing in plot but amplified the amount of emotion instilled within the audience through its vivid imagery & top-tier vocals. I was excited to hear Defying Gravity and was absolutely blown away by Elphaba & Glinda's vocals! Can't wait to see Wicked 2 coming soon.

I don't usually watch superhero movies, so the action scenes in this movie were super entertaining! It was so visually fun to watch because of the beautiful NYC buildings as well (oh how I LOVE urban landscapes), but the plot itself wasn't anything flashy. It felt pretty predictable- I guessed that Dr. Curt Connors would be the main antagonist of this film right from his first appearance. I think I'll need to watch more action scenes to determine where I stand on this one.

Past Lives is supposed to reflect reality, showing that we need to leave behind the “what-ifs” in the past. I've come to realize that the mindset of "looking for pieces of one's first love in everyone they meet” is unfortunately prevalent in our society. It's terrifying how attached we can be to nostalgia as humans, struggling to let go of the heartwarming memories of what once was.
