  as much as i love this movie for charlotte’s character, its visuals and how perfectly it captures the feeling of loneliness, i can’t help but despise the not-so-subtle racism (especially from bob).

  i still can’t bring myself to comprehend how a film that is literally set in japan can show so much little respect for the culture and people of said county, as mush as i don’t understand the choice of using the japanese just as an aesthetic background.
