I went in unaware it was a musical or in French (two things I do not usually like) but I found myself tearing up at the end and recounting the entire plot to my partner in the morning.

Dream Scenario 2023
The premise is excellent. The entire build up is delightful. Then the story feels like it doesn’t resolve much and they couldn’t decide between a cliffhanger or a definite ending. This is one of those rare movies that might’ve been better as a TV series.

I watched this in the perfect setting: With good friends in a sold out old independent theater and a big bag of buttered popcorn in my lap.
I would recommend this movie to anybody who likes confusing commercials but hates being sold a product. If you are very scared of mattresses or being eaten by a piano or being turned into a pile of bananas, I would skip it.
