Sleepers 1996
This is probably one of the saddest movies I've seen, and it's really hard to watch. It's reminiscent of Stand By Me in a way, only much darker and more traumatic. The performances from the younger actors were exceptional, and it was really nostalgic to see the older actors at the beginning of their careers; as far as the cast goes, it was flawless. It’s definitely a movie I wouldn’t want to revisit for a while, which in my opinion doesn’t make it less than a masterpiece, because the saddest well made movies aren’t as rewatchable.
