It was a really good movie right up until the ending. I’m honestly not even sure what the message of the film is supposed to be. The ending was a complete bummer. Don’t recommend watching if you want something with a happy ever after because the ending just sucks all the joy out of the movie.

Cameron Diaz is completely underwhelming, but everyone else was delightful! I wish they’d spent more time on Iris because it felt like she was overshadowed by Amanda, and I had a hard time caring about Amanda 🤷♀️
Like Lost in Austen, but cuter and less anxiety-inducing
Hot take: this is a bad movie. It’s just a man complaining for 5 years about how hard it was for him that his daughter was born with club feet. Definitely not worth the hype. Only giving it half a star because of how influential the sound design was for better films in the future.
