  as a gen z who isn't as educated about the past, here are some things that shocked me while watching with my family:

  - kid George Bailey working at age 12 (I briefly forgot child labor and how young kids were when they had to work 😭)
  - George Bailey earning $45 a week (today apparently that would be around $985.97 a week, due to rising inflation costs and the livable wage)
