Bradley was by far the best part of the movie, hope to see the actor playing more antagonists!

Hide and Go Shriek 1988
Enjoyed the twist if it weren’t hinging on gay sex heartbroken sex fiend that we get so little of you didn’t know he was an option FOR a twist. However giving the (questionable) gay exlover a slight hero arc was interesting, even if they killed that goodwill with the character’s self hating right before dying.
I liked the friend group pretty well, lot of dumb kids fooling around and having fun before going to college. The scenes felt jumpy and weirdly connected. An alright slasher, but nothing to shriek about.

The Video Dead 1987
Thought this was going to have more stuff about a family and horror movies. Instead it was a lot of the brother running off with the harbinger figure and then the sister playing house with the zombies.
This follows the classic slasher etiquette of really honing in on killing the women characters and prolonging it (specifically with the zombies choking random towns people out). The sequence with Jeff being trained on killing the zombies went on a little too long, but i actually did like the zombie house party, a clever way for the the final girl to stay alive without having to use outright strength.Translated from by -
Sweet Sixteen 1983
I like a slasher who dunnit, not a huge fan of Jason and Greyfeather, the two native american characters getting thrown under the bus the entire time. The sheriff was surprisingly competent and not extremely prejudiced , which was a nice change of pace.
Not a huge fan of the 15 (almost 16) yr old character being v alluring to apparently all ages of men and everyone’s just like yeah, she just attracts mens attention and they can’t help their attraction.
