a respectful documentary about the  “children of a lesser god”, a reality we all know really few acknowledge

the storytelling was raw and intense with an underlying optimism at the end

the cinematography really support the unfiltered portrayal of Mikal’s life

i wish it was a movie but no….

    📍CPH:DOX 2025

🔻Unfortunately, when you choose to document a topic that has been covered many times before, your contribution must be very innovative. Sadly, the video ends up summarizing the most clichéd statements about consumerism, with a reprimanding tone directed at the average person, without considering their perspective.

🟢 I would have preferred a focus on facts and more scientific contributions.

🟢 The only interesting part was the conversation with the neuro and dream scientists

🔻The footage and shots seem unoriginal and not unique, and there's a strange use of low-quality AI-generated content.

🔻I particularly disliked the “stop shopping” church thing

    📍CPH:DOX 2025 (world premiere)

loved it - feeling the energy of the whole world by experiencing the energy of a building.

the building of 5,000 serves as a microcosm for the real world: (the interplay of) versatility, uniqueness, hierarchies, classes, overlooked contributors, changes, commercialism, elections, noise of every day life

a thoughtful journey inside a living organism, observing the diverse lives of people
exploring different world perspectives through different building perspectives

scene: the cleaning worker (deaf) dancing and performing (strength but unnoticed artistry unappreciated in a world consumed by noise)
