  We just wanted a movie to turn our brains off for a bit. This was it. Quite entertaining. Effects were ok. Story was ok. Good action. Good cast.

  While I enjoyed this entry by Ozu. The story seemed quite similar to his other major work, Late Spring, which I found to be a much stronger film. 
  I may have to give this one another watch in the future though.

  I had to bootleg this off YouTube, which made me wonder how good it really was, but it was totally awesome. Beautiful 80s anime style and animation, amazing score by Ghibli’s Joe Hisaishi. I will concede the story was a bit convoluted, but that’s just Greek mythology for you. It’s also produce by Toshio Suzuki one of the founders of Ghibli, so this non-ghibli movie has not one, but two main players from Studio G.
