  It’s really cool that they can still make movies like this.  There are some shots that are truly stunning and stayed in my mind long after the movie ended. Watching this in 70MM was a great call. But it didn’t earn the runtime for me. Could have cut down a solid 30-45 minutes off this or at least one of the handjob scenes.

  I get that it’s hard to separate the events in 72’ with the current events that are still unfolding in the Middle East today but September 5 does not seem to take a political stance.  It is a thriller that studies the morality and ethics of journalism during a crisis. If you’re into that then watch this movie.
