Still one of my favourite films of all time. You can’t even describe Hellraiser.. I believe it is a must-watch for horror fans.

The Killing of a Sacred Deer 2017
This was such an uncomfortable watch. I didn’t know too much going into the film and I think it would be the best way view it. At times it felt taboo where I was thinking to myself “what the fuck am I watching”. The young actor Barry Keoghan has a sinister presence throughout the film which was unnerving and chilling. I had to rate it so highly simply because it was like nothing I have seen before. From the bonkers script to the strange monotone communication between the characters; this was a very different experience

A Serbian Film 2010
I don’t normally like to diss films but this just felt like it was made to push as many boundaries as it could. I love gore and violence when used in context with a story but children being abused is not something I’d like to see again. Left me feeling pretty dirty and disgusted

Martyrs 2008
So I finally got around to rewatching Martyrs. I had seen it years ago and it left me feeling completely numb. I can’t say it was any different this time around. The depiction of violence and torture in this is hard to stomach because it has a realness about it that most films don’t. It is relentless in its brutality and extremely hard to watch but I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen.
