  This dystopian made-for-TV movie has a lot of big ideas, but has very little to say about them. There's a lot of "Proper Noun" words that the movie attempts to use for world building. A political uprising called "The Movement" takes over the world using a portable nuclear device. We can only assume that "The Movement" is progressive in nature because they are cognizant of "Political Correctness," and there are some lines in the movie that make it sound like…

  Godzilla 1998

  ★★ Rewatched 02 Mar 2022

  The first half of the movie is actually very promising, setting up social dynamics and character arcs that are very reminiscent of the Godzilla films from the 50s early 60s. Too bad the movie forgets about all of that as soon as it’s “Too Cool To Be Godzilla” monster shows up.
