  Don’t believe the hype. Nothing but Viking mythology cliches without any deeper meaning/ layers, no idea why anyone in their right mind would give this four/ five stars. Watch more films to put this rubbish into perspective. Love the VVitch, liked The Lighthouse but the love for this one is beyond me.

  Some great kills but this one was way too long to keep me engaged and as far as the love it or hate it ending is concerned I find myself siding with the latter. 2,5 stars for trying something different and the proto-Saw crossbow contraption scene, the ‘snuff’ segment and the metal noose kill.
