Joker: Folie à Deux 2024
It’s actually insulting that this film is called joker and is supposed to have anything to do with the character, and that’s the first and foremost biggest issue. It’s not even a psychological deep dive like the first film. It’s just a mixed disaster with bad writing and worse music

Aliens 1986
Significantly better than the first Alien movie. Unlike the first it actually has exposition that sets up the plot of the film and has much better action sequences. And thank god we can actually see the Xenomorphs this time, though I feel like they’re pretty weak for what they’re mean to be … just getting killed off by some bullets and flamethrowers? A bit weak. Again like the first film, I feel like it’s a product of its time and is only *so* good for the genre of film it is, so good, but not great

Didn’t think the film was particularly scary (at all actually) nor did I think the writing or cinematography was impressive. But I’m willing to attribute that to the genre and time that the film was created. A real lack of exposition hurts the film from start to finish n my opinion and that lack of knowledge is carried throughout
