ahhhh now this is a good watch. definitely eccentric and unique in terms of storytelling and its linear path but i honestly had such a good time with it. the parents are like the mom and dad (mainly the mom) that everyone wants and i think this is such a well done movie. props to hirokazu kore-eda for this wonderful piece. i was recommended this movie after watching little miss sunshine because i appreciate a good dysfunctional family story and this one is much better. you don’t even realize the disfunctionality going on within this piece
