Fun cast, good looking film with nice use of colour and effective juxtaposition of old and new. With the music and the editing it often felt like a Netflix series, it needed to be more goofy to justify this imo.
Cool political twists and turns but we're watching a film about how the Catholic Church needs to be more Liberal, this should've come out 5 - 10 years ago. There is zero subtlety - we have a conservative cardinal trying to start a crusade. In the era of Trump 2.0 we need maturer cases for progressiveness.
