Was happily surprised, just as unhinged as I hoped with a pinch of dystopia. The fucking cheek of that boy though, I wanna know his story. Not sure if it was meant to be as funny as I found it. Kinda loved the intense cringe and how real and awkward some of their interactions felt, not even taking themselves seriously in moments. Thought the theme of automation echoed her lack of autonomy within the relationship and also the cult child to CEO pipeline was an interesting power flip in itself.

Bird 2024
I like… wasn’t really sure where it was going for a while felt like an aimless meander but when bird started birding it won me over. Using Barry keoghan for all the promo was misleading but then again would I have watched it without. Also what was with the huge fontains plug.

Even more pretentious than I expected, beautiful shots but leant in too much to the trip sequence and repeated techniques to justify any random shit in the film. Had huge expectations, was expecting it to be my new favourite film but it didn’t hit hard enough
