就讓一切都燃燒殆盡 — 情如是，愛如是，生命如是；所以都化為灰燼泡影，慢慢醞釀的情緒到最後激起千重浪。我不相信至死不渝，亦沒有對貌似曇花一現、海蝕蜃樓的慾望有過多的幻想，但我可以被電影表達縱使少許不合時但卻是最純粹的浪漫青春熱血所感動。這是我看過其中一部角色動機絕對地直接、最簡單地極致的一齣電影。

I fucking despise this film imma slice open the seat I’m sitting on, extremely frustrating and befuddling. Subplots introduced and dissipate quickly enough to lead to nowhere. Direction/logic/purpose are all a cesspool of piss and shit, wouldn’t be able to stand its entirety if not watching with friends

You Shoot, I Shoot 2001
A pretty slick 94 min flick — I have read its honourable mention from time to time in the past 15+ years — creative cameo and really wacky yet incredibly funny; mixing that particular heart and spirit of HK humour and rhythm whilst nodding at big cinema names. I am sad i was too young to experience this as a cinema and cultural zeitgeist when it first came out in HK. Great film to take the edge off.
Only critique is the female protagonist lacking agency hence perpetuating sexualised stereotypes within the specific dynamics of HK society interpreting Japanese cultural exports in a men-centric lens.
