“Ser joven y no ser revolucionario es una contradicción”

love, friendship, dreams, inspiration, influence, dedication, revolution, music, & cinema.
i cannot express how much i fucking love music. it is the root of all life for me. sombra perfectly describing how music grabs you & indirectly connects you with the artist, and how you can paint your own blank canvas with an artist's words to build a personal connection to a song was absolutely phenomenal.

also, how big of a flex is it to have made bob dylan cry

"they who had no pity, now ask for yours.
they who had no mercy, now ask for yours.
they who had no tears, now ask for yours.
if you have tears to shed, weep not for them, weep for their victims."

i have had david lynch's works on my radar for a couple of years through his immense influence on dozens of video games i grew up with. one of the main ones being Silent Hill 2, so when i heard of his passing i felt deeply saddened & ashamed of myself for not checking out his works sooner. im familiar with twin peaks but i never fully dove deep into it so im hoping i revisit it some time this year. what a first impression though.. holy shit

one of my favorite things lou reed ever did was shut down tom wilson's request for nico to sing Sunday Morning because she had a soft voice. reed, without hesitation, went ahead and gave one of the most angelic and beautiful performances for a tune ever.. proving he could handle it himself and that it was HIS band. i just love this band so much. especially john cale. probably the coolest dude ever in the history of american music.
