  A great movie that sadly wasn’t appreciated enough when it came out. This film was 40 years ahead of its time, and it’s incredible how relevant it has become over the years.

  This is probably my favorite Robert De Niro performance. Nuff said.

  Fun movie with a ton of gore. The cinematography is stunning, with dozens of shots so well-framed and perfectly angled that it’s clear Oz Perkins has an eye for the camera.

  That said, Perkins doesn’t take this movie seriously, and neither should the audience. Theo James and the actor who played the child version of the twins ate up all their scenes, making the plot a lot more digestible.

  I went in expecting one thing and got something entirely different, but that’s okay. It was still well-crafted and had real thought put behind it.

  Hilarious movie. It’s been a while since I’ve been in a theater for a comedy this funny that didn’t veer into outright stupidity or absurdity. I’ll admit there were a few moments where it tiptoed that line (some might argue it crossed it), but aside from those beats, this film delivered exactly what it promised and then some. That was really reassuring.
