There are moments of satirical brilliance, however, the film has a hard time really making you connect with its premise. It does trod along, with some sections that could have been edited down or cut. The screenplay is fun but inconsistent. Mark Ruffalo is the shining star. He elevates the material, and provides some great laughs. I just feel like this movie didn’t need Bong Joon Ho, and Bong Joon Ho didn’t need it either. It’s just the definition of a fun flick 🤷🏼‍♂️

The source material is gold, but it somehow just doesn’t sparkle as much in a cinematic lens. It also suffers in the editing department. It could have benefitted from some of the fluff songs being cut. The 2nd half is a bit slow. All of the original cast members bring joy and whimsy to their characters, while the additions (albeit fine) add nothing more to the quality.

A lovely, campy escapist holiday rom com. Kate Winslet is a dream. Cameron Diaz…acts. But the MVP award goes to Jude Law for being insanely sexy and charming in each frame he’s in. Truly the perfect man.

A wild ride. The third act went on a LITTLE too long for me, but it’s overall affect was achieved. Demi Moore gives a masterclass in acting solo.
