This movie was an amazing revival for the franchise after its almost decade long absence from theatres up until this point. No longer is he the heroic and kid friendly protagonist that they portrayed him to be in the second half of the Showa Era, he's now back to his original roots as a personification of destruction from nuclear war, and the deadly repercussions that humanity faces as of a result.

Since starting the movies, I've come to the opinion…

At last, i have finally completed my watch of the Showa Era of the Godzilla Franchise, albeit taking me a whole year to do so. But from here on out, i will be consistently watching these films instead of the dreadful dormant pace i have been throughout as of far. Godzilla Marathon March, here we go!! (I won't break my promise this time 🥹)

Now for the actual review of Terror of Mechagodzilla; it's a weaker version of the film…

the beekeeper is a film quite like no other 

it is an amazing action movie that leaves you sitting on the edge of your seat as it gets more intense and shills in a bee pun or metaphor at random for no fucking reason other than the movie is called THE BEEKEEPER

although admittedly the line ‘to BEE or not to BEE’ gave me shivers and will go down as one of if not THE best quote in cinematic history …
