As awkward as the “I’ll kill you” to her daughter was I can’t say I wouldn’t said anything better as Veda is so aggravating to see in any scene , poor Mildred gets back to where she was with her first man with no kids only really having got her own business from sheer will power to make Veda somewhat happy , same director as Casablanca is cool, sad movie but I love Joan
