A Real Pain 2024
This made me uncomfortable and happy and honestly just introspect. I love every shot of one or both of them looking up in pain. Also why did I feel so personally attacked when James got yelled at for basically being a history nerd? I have so many thoughts. But yeah I love how clean this film is. In how it looks, in how it’s edited and framed., in the score just being piano, in the pacing and in how the story is perfectly nestled between two identical bookends.
