    Subverting Snow White so that her "fairness" isn't about beauty or kindness but instead ability to evenly distribute goods among the populace is... a choice.

    Despite plenty of color, nothing in this looks real, from the Zemeckis-esque dwarves to the excessively shiny CGI environments. Somehow it looks even worse when the effects aren't there, due to sets and costuming unacceptably poor for a $250 million budget. The new songs have plenty of instruments but contemporary musical pop doesn't fit this…

    I don't know much about SNL apart from a few iconic sketches and some of the people it found. So I watched this out of the loop, and as a result I can't say much on how accurately it portrays real individuals or how pretentious it comes across as. What I can say is that this is an effective showcase of chaos in the pursuit of creating something unique and most of these actors are doing a good job.

    There aren’t many other movies that seem so fed up with it’s own existence that it becomes a visual case of Stockholm syndrome, where the author rejects the concept before learning to embrace the ideological prison fully.

    It might've been the 4DX that bumped this up and made it so entertaining, with the seats violently shaking and tossing you around from the wind and debris, spraying water onto your face from the rain, and jabbing you in the back whenever something landed close by. You truly felt immersed in the insane scale of the storms. Other people will find this annoying, but I just had a big dumb grin on my face.
