A movie full of turns, chaos, and charisma. Mickey 17 felt familiar, yet imaginatively fresh at the same time—the casting and production were especially impressive. And as funny as this movie was, I was even more impressed by the different themes Bong Joon Ho explored within the narrative, such as balancing the desires of a collective versus the individual. Was the film trying to do too much? Maybe! But it was still a hilarious, fun ride. I gotta give it to Mark Ruffalo though. His Elvis-meets-galactic-colonizer character constantly stole the show for me in the best of ways.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 2024
My childhood heart is so happy to see one of my favorite video games of all time come to the being screen. This is definitely the best entry in the series, from Team Sonic’s chemistry, to Shadow’s backstory, to the fight sequences, and to all the amazing nods to the original material. Can’t wait for more Sonic!
