On its own, this is a semi-decent, semi-entertaining but rather silly sci-fi film. But it purports to be a film version of Simon Stålenhag's book, and as that it fails. The story has been changed significantly, and the mood of the book is missing. I may go as far as calling it "loosely inspired by", but that's it. Read the book instead, and enjoy Stålenhag's art.
