YOU CANNOT ESCAPE CAPITALISM AND LIVE IN PEACE. THE 12 DISTRICTS ARE COLONIES, DIVIDE AND CONQUER, LET THEM FIGHT AMONG THEMSELVES.

I know this franchise is special when it can make me physically react, I cried too much, gasped, cringed knowing the bad bad things were going to come.

I'm ashamed to say there was some enjoyment of the violence itself and I'm no better than the capital. The raw brutality of the first few seconds of the games captured me the way regular violence seen in other movies can't. Maybe it's in the choice of the hand-held close up shots that make it feel less like a movie and more like a documentary.

The premise in itself has a classic/ iconic feel. No other teen dystopian can do…

This is the kinda movie that screams childhood... it would be like that movie you remember fondly for being a pretty solid movie cause it was. Many childhood movies you'd remember for being better than it was and this is just right, wish I had it in my childhood. Plot is basic and something I'd make up as a kid but what else do you expect from a Mario game? This is just right.

I love me my action and the choreography was stunning.

Am not a gamer but damn I felt chills when Mario parkoured through Brooklyn as a call back to its OG game.

It was childish, funny, cheesy, inspirational, and damn it feels hard to find optimistic stories so I greatly appreciate this movie.
