There’s no reason why the movie starts in the middle. The first act is weird and fun and promising, but once the title card shows up at like minute 30 (???) it’s a long, slow, slide for the rest of it.
Predictable plot, on the nose political commentary, lame soundtrack, dumb demogorgon tardigrade creatures, uninspired sci fi props, and sooo much cgi. But I still love a weird Robert Pattinson, who is perfectly cast here.
Sadly he isn’t given the opportunity to make a truly weird film like High Life. And Bong Joon-Ho doesn’t even live up to Snowpiercer, let alone follow Parasite.Translated from by
