Really fun movie, obviously a beautiful artstyle. The fight choreo is fantastic. I don’t know how they did it but they got really solid performances from a huge celebrity cast.

I also love how the aspect of the title they chose to focus on was “teenage”. Most of the time, the turtles are just guys, goofy but they start fully developed. They really let the young actors play and for that we got some of the best TMNT content in…

This is my personal movie of the year. Some of the writing is a little stiff. But it has a unique premise, that clearly everyone on set was very passionate about. It’s shot absolutely beautifully with a lot of unique angles. Plus the premise of breaking down the courses like a cooking show really added a lot to the setting.

There is so much to love here. Fantastic character development, wonderful score, call backs for fans, introducing new fan favorites, and is socially conscious without feeling heavy handed. It even got my mom to watch marvel

Iconic writing, endearing characters, social awareness(for its time), prime Tom Hanks, good comedy, emotional heavy hitters, it’s everything great a movie can be. I will admit, it does have some moments of American Exceptionalism that don’t sit right with me, but I think there are also many moments that criticize the American experience. One of the big problems I do have is that it doesn’t have a lot of positive representation. The two black characters in the film are Bubba, who is also mentally stunted, and the Black Panther leader who is shown as a ball of pure rage and violence.
