I finally finished this movie.
I watched the first 36 minutes on an airplane returning from Yucatan while suffering from an onset of giardia, several years ago (early spring of 2018, I think?). I was traveling alone, as I had just broken up with my girlfriend, who cheated on me while in mexico. I needed a distraction, and there was pretty widespread aclaim for this movie.

Renfield 2023
Nicolas Cage gets 5 stars, movie gets several laughs and shrugs. I was bummed that the theatre we watched it in only had 10 people, because it would have been funnier if the crowd had some energy. More people should see it AND it was not a great movie.
Ben Schwartz had some really comedic moments. Crime Mommy was fabulous. and when they did practical effects/makeup, it was great. Over the top violence was goofy and campy, couldn't decide if…
