  Not to brag or anything but I just hundred-percented Brady Corbet's filmography. It's kind of a big deal.

  Being his first movie, Childhood of a Cool Dude is Brady working out his formula. You can see how this leads to Vox Lux and The Brutalist. It's definitely not quite as good as his follow-up bangers. But man he knows how to make a movie look and sound incredible. Cinematography and score in all his movies including this one: Perfect.

  What's my favourite American propaganda?
  Definitely not American Sniper. Clint Eastwood has made some bad movies, sure, but this is so braindead I was surprised. Crazy to start a movie about how a dude is awesome by having him shoot a mother and child. Seems like a cool dude off the bat!!
  Also shitty action scenes. The one thing that can save a propaganda film.

  'Darling. I don't hate you. I just hate basketball!!'

  Known as a classic for a reason.
  The greatest Christmas song of all time.
  When Judy Garland sings that to Tootie, it's magic, folks.

  But nobody told me about Tootie.
  Tootie is out on Halloween breaking shit and burning things to the ground, throwing flour in old men's faces screaming pure hate, blasting 'Let The Bodies Hit The Floor' on her bluetooth speaker. She frames people. Digs graves. She asks for a hunting knife for Christmas.
  She's my hero.

  Beautiful movie.
  Glad I finally watched it.
