Spider-Man 2 2004
Truly no film from the last twenty years captures the sheer pathos of Spider-Man the way this film did. His humanity and his "divinity" run at cross purposes throughout the whole thing, from the failed pizza delivery of the first scene, to MJ's game-day decision in the last. Spider-Man, like Christ, must make a choice. Confronted with the horrors of sin in this world, horrors that he himself could prevent, he yet feels the ordinary human pull of love. Perhaps…
