The Way We Were 1973
Look, just like Katie and Hubbell, the movie has its moments. Those moments, although few, HIT. Deeply. However, the rest is just a big MISS. Painfully almost. Nonetheless, that ending with the music swelling in the back and Barbra and Robert’s expressions saying far more than words ever could is enough to bring anyone to tears. That song is undeniably moving though, it really does put the film on its back. Thank you Mrs. Barbra Streisand OH and Jess!

Cape Fear 1991
After the last act, I could physically feel my shoulders finally ease up from all the tension built up over the two hours and eight minutes of Scorsese greatness. Southern De Niro easily might be one of my favorite De Niro’s, can’t praise his performance in this film enough. Truly a great thriller from start to finish.
