The Mission Impossible of Malayalam industry. Technically very sound. Solid script, which was an investigative thriller in the first half with majority of the twists delivered during this time, which changes into an action thriller in the second half, with more focus on "catching the culprit" part. Chose to get mindfucked early in the morning today...by the end of the 2 hr runtime, I am left utterly shocked, speechless and terrified. Although the Style was worth the watch in the big screen, with impeccable cinematography (Take a bow, Lawrence Sher) and a few nicely choreographed musical scenes, the Substance falls flat in the latter half especially. I really did like the concept of a musical-courtroom drama but the execution is where it lagged behind.
