Belle 2021
I really enjoyed this movie. The animation is a wonderful juxtaposition of futuristic/fantasy and realistic/earthy, but always striking. The story is an interesting cultural twist on a tale as old as time. I don't necessarily agree with all of its message, but it is a wonderful depiction of love and care for complete strangers.

The Batman 2022
Oh my goodness, what a fun adventure. the Batman's boots have a mood of their own! The tone and aesthetic of this film is very gritty. Not a lot of substance to the characters, but this film has such a moody style, I don't care. I've already watched it more than once and I will again. This is my favorite Batman movie so far.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty 2013
I love this film so much. I watch it several times a year and I love watching with others for their first time. It is such a wonderful story of friendship. There is an overarching theme of spontaneity and adventure which is almost overkill, but underneath of that, there is a theme of the importance of friendship, loyalty and hard work. The thing that I really, truly appreciate about this film is that it seems to say in the end…
