  i haven’t had the experience of watching something for the first time and realizing it’s going to be one of my favorites forever since like…..everything everywhere all at once? seeing it in a theater made me feel like i’m transcending time and space into a perfectly balanced nick cage + lynchian world 🫡

  i’ve watched so many coming of age movies at this point that haven’t quite hit my specific niche teenage experience until this one. 

  the subtle racist digs that you’re not allowed to get mad at “you’re cute for an asian”…..OOOOO god. the way we internalize so much self hatred for being asian somehow equating to being the butt of the joke in all of middle/high school. all of this shame builds up to constant self destruction for our fucked up self fulfilling prophecies! anyways, i loved this movie very much..
