  A masterful examination of man’s nature, eyewitness self-bias, and crazy people. Almost every shot is composed to the point of being painting-like, and Kurosawa—especially in the final testimony *chef’s kiss*—directs character movement in ways so sensical and relevant to the scene that the whole film holds up 75 years later.
