Elysium 2013
This is, in my opinion, the best Blomkamp film but that's kind of as meaningless as saying someone's the best bullfighter in Antarctica. Visually, like his other offerings, this movie is appealing but the tone of the hammer-fisted moralizing and Damon not being genuinely *gruff* enough for the character he's playing makes this movie kind of a turd. BUT a turd I enjoyed, which is not a sentence I envisioned typing tonight.

Scare Me 2020
I was pleasantly surprised by this movie and I've not been a big fan of dude's other movies. The ending was a bit disjointed and the overall tone of the movie was a bit too loose for its own good. I enjoyed the performances and they did a good job of doing the Uncle Vanya and having it all in the same room.

The Stuff 1985
This movie says a lot about us as a species; like it literally kicks off with an old guy seeing some white cream oozing out of the ground and decides to EAT it. He just dips his finger in the jizz bubble and then, after remarking on the sweet jazzy taste, offers some to his work buddy who then actually eats it too! 10/10 for realism as the pandemic proved that this scene would in fact happen exactly as portrayed.
