The Color of Paradise 1999
Color of Paradise (rangeh khoda) is an aesthetically stunning and heart wrenching film. A perfect introduction into Persian filmmaking for anybody interested.
It follows a young boys experience being blind and navigating the world. We see his relationship with his widowed father, who treats his son’s condition as a curse. It is easy to recognize throughout the story that it is the father who is crippled by blindness not his son.
