A New Kind of Wilderness 2024
If it weren't for a few amateur, docu-style zoom-ins I could have sworn this was a beautifully written indie fiction drama.
Jokes aside, but the movie really has you really guessing at times whether you are watching a fiction or a documentary. The moving story, the characters, their evolution and the intensity of some moments captured on film (especially in pivotal moments), all shot in gorgeous imagery really hit a chord.

It feels as if the screenwriters had synthesized a bullet list of attributes for each character (representing an archetype of trauma) and then went on to write the most painfully obvious dialogue lines to justify their flimsy, one dimensional existence.
