Maybe one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I've never seen a movie botch its own message so hard. I'll take a thousand Cat in the Hats over more of this.

It was Walt Disney's favorite animated film he made, but that means nothing. This movie has aged horribly. The racial stereotyping speaks for itself, but also the world is just mean spirited for no clear reason. It's unpleasant. The music is nice, but it doesn't save it.

Fantasia 1940
Often considered Walt Disney's magnum opus, this movie is revolutionary. It is such a creative project that revolutionized cinematic sound, and there are no movies quite like it. Even it's sequel, which has strong scenes of its own, doesn't match the majesty of this film. Be warned, it's rather long. It's to this date the only Disney animated feature to have a runtime over two hours. Due to it's nature though, it's easy to watch it in segments.
