Self/less is a very interesting and compelling premise, but the finished film has some weaknesses that keep me from giving it too high of a score. I think the first thing I would change would be the movie's beginning and set-up. If the early character building/establishing scenes with Ben Kingsley were fuller I would have felt more comfortable with the character later, but as it was it felt rushed. Eye of the Needle 1981
Some things about this movie are intriguing and thrilling, while others are laughable and oddly acted and constructed. A fun watch if you're into WWII plots of espionage and secluded lighthouse island settings for half the film. It can be a bit pulpy at times but that might add to the charm.
