I just had one of the most beautiful theater experiences with this. As the credits rolled, I waited in my seat, absolutely SOBBING, and as the (surprisingly full) audience cleared out, I was left with one other person behind me who was also crying during the credits. It was a beautiful connection knowing someone else was impacted by this movie in the same way I was. It's a theater experience that will stick with me for quite a while.

Although I had seen a number of Wes Anderson films prior to the pandemic, I never considered myself a fan of his work until I was forced to isolate from what I had expected to be a normal four years of high school. Without the normal structural support I expected to have at this time in my life, I resorted to his oddly comforting depictions of melancholy as a prime form of escapism. Yet, although I didn't realize it at…

David Tennant staring deep into my soul during every soliloquy is exactly why the motion picture camera was invented.

Not really sure why it took my this long to get around to watching this, but wowza. It's definitely not the highest budget or most amazing production value for a Hamlet adaptation, but there's a unique energy to this that a lot of other Shakespeare film adaptations lack. It's a modern dress update that utilizes contemporary technology/themes without losing sight of…

If an absurdist feminist satire grappling with identity politics featuring stop-motion goats that’s stylistically adjacent to a Wes Anderson film isn't the key to my heart, I don't know what to tell you.

This was utterly insane, and it's sort of difficult to talk about without spoiling some of the fun with its structure. I think I spent most of the film more confused than anything, but there was something about the ending that sort of clicked everything into place…

Fun! But for whatever reason, it reminded me a lot of the unrelated 1989 Belgian techno anthem, Pump Up the Jam.

    Pump 👠 up 🆙 the jam 🫙, pump 👠 it up 🆙

Robert Pattinson and Robert Pattinson are two of my favorite actors, so it was great finally getting to see them work together on something!

It's incredibly messy, but this is the exact sort of movie we need right now! It definitely doesn't shy away from darker political tones, but Bong Joon Ho doesn't allow this to get nearly as depressing as I feared it might have been. The subtle Trumpisms that Mark Ruffalo incorporates into his performance are brilliant, and…
