With such a phenomenal premise that really pulls your attention, it’s almost impossible to go wrong? Well Solaris says bonk that, just watch me, skipping key contextual narrative, introducing elements with no sentiment - that I can only imagine must be big players in the novel - and making me care so little about a SENTIENT OCEAN, like come on man that’s the coolest thing???
Plus a 20 minute scene of a fella driving?? Who’s the kid?? Why am I sat wasting my Sunday afternoon? Did I leave the oven on??
