Dune 2021
Still good. Fun to watch while reading it. I’m only a quarter through the book, halfway through the events of this movie, but really interesting to see how much was changed, especially considering this movie was my first exposure to the Dune universe. Really makes me appreciate the differences between filmmaking and book writing. This is a truly beautiful film and it skips over so many amazing, rich parts of the book.
Wilson felt like it was rushed and after reading the book, I feel the same way. Makes me want to read more books.

Labyrinth 1986
Kind of refreshing to see a movie this bad. Baffling storytelling and script. The target audience seems to be illiterate horny teenagers who are into renaissance faires. For such a trippy and visually distinct movie you’d think they would do at least a little visual storytelling, but instead this movie epitomizes “tell don’t show”.
Really great puppet work and character design. Loved the fire gang. Thought David Bowies songs were awful. Why was he in this movie
Worth the watch.

Hundreds of Beavers 2022
Really good. Kind of a slow start but it picks up about halfway through. I have never seen a movie like this and I don’t know if I ever will again.
