  Still great
  A film doesn't earn international recognition as a masterpiece for no good reason and this sure has its reasons

  It's crazy how Lang and von Harbou basically invented cyberpunk 50 years early, before computers were even a thing

  Okay I had kind of expected not to be as into this one based on my vague memories of not getting into what I saw of it in the group stream but it's pretty good
  Maybe better than Part 1? At least when it finally gets going anyway

  The problem really is the first half of this part…

  My Conquest is the Sea of Stars was good, but just kinda felt like watching the pilot episode to a TV series (which I mean I guess is what it is, but still) - not that it was bad or anything
  Overture to a New War, on the other hand, by virtue of its longer running time means we get to spend a lot more time seeing the personal moments in the characters' lives, which gives everything a greater impact…
