  The Witch 2015

  So much of this film works well, the tone and performances in particular stand out. I really enjoyed the use of language, and found the themes interesting to think about, however the ending was just deeply unsatisfying to me personally. I had a similar reaction to Kill List, which is a similar film in many ways, and will be similarly divisive. YMMV.

  Not convinced he didn't do it, or is even a good person, but damned if this isn't utterly compelling documentary filmmaking.

  I can not believe it took me so long to get around to watching this. Network is a brilliant satire, as relevant today as when it was in 1976.

  If you haven't seem it yet, like me you'll probably know it from the famous speech that won Peter Finch his posthumous Oscar, but the film is SO much more than that. It (obviously) tackles the politics of how ratings drive network television decisions, but also delves into the idea of…
